With COVID-19 cases and hospitalisation surges relatively dwindling in the state of California, Santa Monica College is poised to resume in-person classes starting January 2022. “In fact, 80% of faculty and staff at the college are now fully vaccinated and 70% of our students report that they are fully vaccinated as well,” shares Denise Kinsella, Associate Dean for International Education Center at Santa Monica College.

The college plans to deliver 70% of its classes in-person in early 2022. The campus, together with its support offices, will be fully open to the entire college community.

Students who have been studying online over the past one and half years still have the option of continuing and finishing their studies remotely. Kinsella reiterates, “We wish them to know that they can continue to study online from home if that works best for them. We have several degree and certificate programs that may be completed through online instruction.”
